Stretching the Star Wars licence can often lead to some pretty poor quality pieces but also some cool stuff too, and this is one of the latter...
At last week's Consumer Electronics Show held in Las Vegas, new Star Wars licensee Jazwares, Inc. unveiled several new gadgets from their upcoming Star Wars Spyware line, including an exciting new search and capture game as well as Star Wars-inspired tools for night vision, voice changing, listening and security. These should become available this fall."The theme behind Star Wars Spyware is bounty hunters," says Joe Amaro, Director of Product Development for Jazwares, "so these are tools of the trade that bounty hunters, troopers or anyone can use to help track, hunt, spy and find anyone."Search & Capture Sensor:
Just like the notorious bounty hunter Boba Fett, kids can track down their prey with the Star Wars Search & Capture Sensor (sharp-eyed fans will recognize this design as similar to the device used by Han to locate Luke on Hoth). The Search & Capture Sensor helps track down bounties with a hot/cold sensor. Featuring lights and sounds, the sensor reads the bounty chips (three included) and fans can play with up to five friends. Additional chips are sold separately.Perimeter Droids:
Based on the design of Darth Maul's seeker droids from The Phantom Menace, these "perimeter droids" will sound off when a beam is broken between them. Perfect for guarding a doorway from Rebel infiltrators!
