New Star Wars Vintage, Exclusives and Clone Wars images straight from Hasbro...

Well we got a nice surprise from Hasbro this morning and that was a veritable PILE of new images. Taken forever to save from Tiffs to .jpgs and tag and upload but there ya go. All unbranded and no site logos added.

Lucasfilm shares more inside the Star Wars Blu-ray box sets...

Lucasfilm have been sharing the new Star Wars Blu ray's with a select audience of home theatre web sites. We get a sneak peek more in to the box and it's goodies!

At a private event in New York City last week, our friends at Lucasfilm and Fox pulled back the curtain all too briefly for an exciting peek at the Blu-rays as part of the 2011 Star Wars Media Day. Two clips were played (one from a classic film, one from a prequel) to demonstrate the quality of the brand-new 1080p/DTS-HD Master Audio 6.1 remasters, on a Panasonic plasma and over a Panasonic HTiB system

Star Wars Saga on Blu-Ray. This is the Artwork? Seriously? We feel Blu about it...

So we stayed up last night endlessly refreshing like many, to see what would be delivered as part of the Blu Ray announcement. What was a server crash spectacular for many, we managed to snag some early peeks at the Episode I-III Yoda artwork, and now the Darth artwork for the original trilogy is now here.

Both appear okay at best to us here, but especially with YEARS of stunning artwork, movie posters and more, this just does not cut it for such grand movies.

However, with respect to the artist (as I sure as hell can't paint) what seems to be sticking out to us here at flyguy towers more than anything is the Anakin cover above. REALLY? Is it just us? Is that the best we can do for such epic films?

Likely as before the same cover for Blu Ray showing Anakin in the newer design dished out halfway through the season..

Just remember this was the season with 'Learn to count with Threepio' and 'The Intergalactic tea plot' episodes but after episode ten we got redemption with some excellent stuff in the Savage Opress/father/son/spirit sister episodes and not to forget the Citadel and finally Wookie hunting Trandoshans...

No the title is not wrong...this has already leaked out on the net earlier this week and reports tell us even sold in several shops in many locations worldwide. All well before the embargo date. Review copies and more have only lead to the leaks.

Sadly so far of all the reports we have heard, none are particulalry overly positive. "Not as bad as 'Something...' was, but still not a patch on 'Blue Harvest'." was one response.

Hmm...time will tell, but you may want to watch this when it appears on TV screens first, or if your up for it, head to stores when it's released in the US on December 21, Australia December 22, and in Europe December 27, 2010.
